This project involved the provision and installation of a Daikin ducted system on the upper level, alongside a Daikin high-wall split system situated in the downstairs living room.

Precision Electrical & Air conducted a meticulous installation of the Daikin FDYAN160AV1 16.0kW ducted air conditioning system. The indoor unit was expertly placed within the ceiling space above the void, while the condenser was securely positioned on the front balcony wall. Rubber feet were employed to enhance stability. All connections between the indoor and outdoor units were carefully concealed within ductwork that extended from the ceiling space.

To promote efficient water drainage, two drainage systems were installed, directing water from the indoor unit and safety tray to the external gutter. This comprehensive installation included the precise placement of ducting, branch take-offs, zone motors, and air plenums throughout the ceiling space, ensuring seamless integration with the indoor unit. A return air grille was also fitted in the upstairs hallway to optimise the system’s airflow.

An independent electrical sub-circuit was established, extending from the switchboard to the outdoor unit, featuring an NHP isolation switch conveniently located adjacent to the condenser. A MyZone Multipoint touchpad zone controller was installed in the upstairs hallway, allowing for intuitive temperature control directly linked to the zone motors.

In the downstairs living room, the Daikin FTXV80W 8.0kW high-wall reverse cycle split system was installed with exceptional attention to detail. New ducting, interconnect cables, and copper pair coils were integrated to connect the indoor and outdoor units. The condenser was also mounted on rubber feet to ensure operational stability.

A dedicated electrical circuit was created from the switchboard to the outdoor condenser, incorporating an NHP isolation switch for safety. An Aspen Silent+ Mini condensation pump was installed beneath the indoor unit and connected to the nearest stormwater downpipe, facilitating effective drainage. Following the installation, the system underwent comprehensive commissioning to guarantee optimal performance.
